United Steelworkers Scholarship

The United Steelworkers Scholarship is sponsored by the United Steelworkers Local 13214. Each year, there will be four scholarships awarded amounting to $2,500 each. This breaks down to $1,250 per semester for four students.

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be dependents, ages 24 and under, of current members in good standing with the Local 13214 organization. By applying, the applicant consents to share their application information with the donor.

Once the donor has confirmed the member is with the United Steelworkers Local 13214, the final candidates will be selected by the Financial Aid Office at Western Wyoming Community College. Preference will be given to first-year students. The application period is open from December 1st to July 1st for scholarships that will be awarded for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) must be completed to provide calculation of cost of attendance (COA) and student must be registered for Fall 2024 semester (registration opens April 10, 2024) to be considered for this scholarship.

Maintenance to keep this scholarship is a 2.0 cum GPA at the end of each term (semester) and 100% completion of paid credits.
