Sweetwater Adult BOCES Scholarship
All Sweetwater County residents (non-traditional 18+ years old) who have lived in Sweetwater County 6 months or longer, have the opportunity to use this scholarship. Proof of residency is required.
Sweetwater High School graduates will automatically receive this scholarship once Western Admissions receives an official, final Sweetwater County High School transcript with graduation date listed.
Any student over the age of 60+ years old would qualify for up to 6 credit hours
*Nursing students are allowed a maximum of (6 semesters) BAS students are eligible for a maximum of (8) semesters.
• Is only available for Western Wyoming Community College classes taken for credit.
• Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 cum GPA that is checked at the end of each semester.
- May use up to (6) credit hours for summer semester
*This scholarship pays $100 per credit hour starting with 1 credit, maximum of 15 credit hours per semester.
Dual/Concurrent and Sweetwater County High School students do not need to apply for this scholarship.
Once we receive confirmation of registered courses through high school (Dual / Concurrent) scholarship will be awarded.
Once Western receives final high school transcript, Sweetwater County high school graduates will be awarded SWHS scholarship.
**The SBOCES Scholarship is available on the contingency that adequate funding has been received in the Western account from the Sweetwater mill levy; Western Wyoming Community College reserves the right to reduce the amount available for the SBOCES Scholarship at any time.
